What Happened After Stonewall /
Tyler Oakley

In honor of pride month and the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, I was commissioned to create an almost five-minute motion graphics video for Tyler Oakley's YouTube channel of 7.5 million subscribers. I was responsible for the art direction and animation of this piece, which takes viewers on a journey back to Stonewall and the first pride marches in 1970, giving context for today's pride celebrations.

Style Frames

A selection of style frames that I created in preparation for animation. The style was heavily influenced by the usage of black and white archival video, photography, and newsprint. Bold typography and a muted rainbow palette were also key design elements.
